Jazz Ensemble

The Ball State Jazz Ensemble has many exciting opportunities to perform in 2025-2026. A gift to the Jazz Ensemble Fund will provide funding for many exciting opportunities and performances like the Jazz 1 trip to Chile. 

Jazz 1 will travel to Concepción, Chile, for an exciting mix of performances, collaborations, and educational experiences. The ensemble will:

• Perform at the Chillán Municipal Theatre, sharing their music with a regional audience.
• Bring their energy to Casa de Salud Jazz Club, one of Concepción’s premier live music venues.
• Collaborate with local students in a jam session, fostering mentorship and musical exchange.
• Conclude the trip with a final concert at the renowned Teatro Bio-Bio.
• Lead master classes with the Municipal Youth Big Band, giving students the chance to perform for Jazz 1 and receive professional feedback—while also building connections for future recruitment. 

This tour is more than just music - it’s a chance for Ball State Jazz to connect across cultures, inspire young musicians, and represent their community on an international stage. Your support will help make this unforgettable experience possible!
