Honors College House Expansion Project

The Ball Honors House is home to a growing honors family, which includes more students than ever before and more offices that serve students from across the entire Ball State campus. In the Fall of 2025 the Honors College welcomed more than 600 new freshman and now serves nearly 1,600 total honors students. In addition, the Honors College is the home of the Virginia B. Ball Center for Creative Inquiry and the Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships, which provide services to students and recent alumni. 

The Edmund F. and Virginia B. Ball Expansion Project will allow the Honors College to better serve students and provide more accessible spaces for new the entire campus community to enjoy.  It will also better connect the Ball Honors House to the campus community and to nearby projects in The Village. Special attention has been taken to preserve the historic nature of the Ball home, while modernizing classroom and office spaces.
