Austin Matthew Quinn Scholarship Golf Outing

Austin Matthew Quinn Scholarship Fund

The fund was established in 2011 in memory of Austin Matthew Quinn who was the victim of an automobile accident at the age of eighteen. Austin had attended St. Lawrence Catholic School and Burris Laboratory where he graduated with academic honors just one month prior to the accident. Austin had planned to attend Ball State University to study exercise science

While at Burris, Austin played on the varsity baseball team for four years and the varsity golf team for one year. He was employed at the Delaware Country Club and had previously worked at Amazing Joe’s restaurant. He was an active member of Shawnee Heights Baptist Church where he was an usher and a member of the American Baptist Youth.

Because Austin was not able to obtain his dream of a higher education, the family set up this fund which has awarded over 20 scholarships to incoming Ball State University freshmen who graduated from Burris.

Your gift to this scholarship helps to keep Austin’s dream alive for other Burris graduates who are attending Ball State University as freshman.
