The Digital Literature Review is an academic journal edited, produced, and published by undergraduate students partnered with the English Department at Ball State University. Our goal is to showcase the valuable contributions of hardworking, creative students from all over the world as they respond to a yearly theme. This year’s theme is “Ghosts and Cultural Hauntings,” and our research captures this essence as it relates to concepts such as queerness and gender norms, racial prejudice and discrimination, and pop culture’s fascination with horror. Exploring the often-underlying themes and figures in traditional and non-traditional ghost stories can help readers from all backgrounds identify a place in their country and culture that connects them to these narratives. Please help us with this opportunity to network with other professionals/researchers and present these compelling and original ideas. Donations will fund expenses for registration and travel to the Butler Undergraduate Research Conference. Should we reach our goal and get all of our participants covered, the remaining amount will go toward funding the DLR’s annual Gala that also showcases our research. The Gala will be April 27th from 6-8PM in the Schwartz Digital Complex room in Bracken Library, and all are welcome; no reservations necessary.
This will fund half of one students registration fee, and get you your own (metaphorical) cup of stars
