Alumni, family, friends and supporters - The Interior Design Alliance needs your help!
We have surpassed our stretch goal of $2000 goal!
Help us reach our super stretch goal of $2500!
Every year, the Interior Design Alliance plans a field trip for our student members to an exciting location bustling with interior design. With the intent of experiencing significant design examples and high-profile firms, this journey will expose our members to new ideas and environments. Additionally, visiting other cities and showcasing different types of design firms, historical sites, and design precedents provide a wealth of information to our members during this field trip.
Giving the students involved in IDA the chance to grow professionally outside of the classroom allows them to have a better understanding of their future profession by visiting other cities and seeing how certain firms operate. This fund will allow members to have new professional experiences in cities they may not be familiar with. We hope to showcase different types of design firms, historical sites, and design precedents to our members during this field trip. Members will gain memories that can positively affect their academic and professional careers for years to come.
In the Spring of 2019, we sent seven of our members to Nashville, TN where they were able to meet with various designers and product representatives, while also visiting multiple historic and notable landmarks. Following this trip, we began to plan a trip to St. Louis, MO for the Spring of 2020. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and all university travel was suspended, including our trip to St. Louis.
Now, we are looking forward to traveling in April 2022 to St. Louis. While in Missouri, we plan on visiting multiple design firms such as Nehring Design Architecture + Interiors and JCR Design Group, as well as the St. Louis Design Center’s various showrooms. Additionally, visiting the City Museum, the Campbell House Museum, and the Frank Lloyd Wright House in Ebsworth Park. Your financial contribution would help us cover the lodging, transportation, and museum admission for 15 students.
We appreciate any and all donations made at this time, and greatly look forward to this opportunity!
