Conservation Tales friends and sponsors,
We're almost at the finish line! The Conservation Tales crowdfunding campaign ends on March 3 - just two days away!
Our campaign has been a huge success, thanks to you! Our donors have helped us surpass our goal, and we are able to continue the work on our books through May... AND BEYOND!! The gifts you sent will pay for the art supplies, production of some materials for outreach events coming in April, and promotional materials for the books we will finish in May. We also will have enough to help pay for some of the same resources in our 2021 project, or to reduce the cost of some exciting travel plans for our 2021 team.
The project is also applying for substantial grants to cover other costs for the project, and we will know soon if we have the funds needed for a three-year plan, with two new books in each of those years.
YOUR help gives us a GREAT start for this ambitious multi-year project, and we thank you all! For our donors, look for emails soon with questions about the incentives we will be sending in April or May. We look forward to updating you in this communication.
You can also visit the Conservation Tales website to find your names in our "Sponsors" page! You can see that page now at...

And you can also check out that page for sneak previews, a list of upcoming events for our team, learning activities, and more!
There is still time to give to our campaign, too! Feel free to share links to our site with friends and family!
And THANK YOU, from the entire Conservation Tales team! You've made a huge difference for our work!

Conservation Tales
The Conservation Tales crowdfunding campaign is just over one day into our public campaign, and we a thrilled with the generosity of our donors so far! We have raised 65% of our goal already! And we invite you to help us reach and surpass that goal!! Why support Conservation Tales, you ask??
Are you aware that there are only about 500 Siberian tigers left in the wild? Do you know that orangtuans are critically endangered, with most experts predicting that ALL of the habitat of Sumatran orangutans will be gone within 25 years?
That's why Conservation Tales is important. Our goal is to help teach children that THEY CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Our books help them learn why some of their favorite animals are endangered, why they are important, and what they can do in their own communities to protect them. We also help kids learn that they CAN be a scientist if they learn to use the processes they see in our books - processes like observing, measuring, and looking for patterns in data.
And you can help us! Your gifts will help our current team - AND FUTURE TEAMS - to buy the art supplies they use in creating illustrations, producing and purchasing educational materials for the events we host in our communities, and in traveling to meet the scientists and animals we feature in our books!

Our future plans include books about Cheetahs and Lions - the books may allow us to visit sites in Africa where these animals live to find out how conservation efforts are protecting these big cats and their environment. In the following year, we have an opportunity to work with conservation researchers in Costa Rica who study and protect macaws, parrots and sloths. We also have several scientists in Indiana who want to help us tell the stories of more local species like copper-belly snakes, eastern box turtles, and monarch butterflies.
To make this happen, we need to keep raising money. If we get many small gifts from people like YOU, we can find the grants to complete our budgets and continue our work on Conservation Tales books!
To help us, just visit our campaign page and click "GIVE!" Your donations are tax deductible, and 100% of your gift will
