Who is Ball State Cheerleading?

The Ball State University Cheerleading program consist of 32 members that represent the spirit, pride, and tradition of Ball State University. These Ball State ambassadors represent the university at a more than just athletic events such as; community engagement events, supporting other campus organizations, events throughout the state of Indiana, along with alumni programs and events.

Did you know?

•  Our squad members receive no scholarship money. The team represents Ball State because they truly believe in the pride, tradition, and what our university stands for.

• Although we are housed within Ball State Athletics, our program relies heavily on gifts from private donors to ensure that we provide the utmost support for our university and community.

• Uniforms are not something that is given to us directly from athletics or the university. Gifts provide us with the option to purchase new uniforms, that comes at a large cost. We need to ensure our uniforms correspond with our schools branding, but without our donors, we are unable to make that happen.  

• The last uniform we have purchased was in 2014. This uniform was purchased prior to the "change" of  the cardinal head. Currently we do not have a uniform with the correct branding on it.

• This year, we combined both our co-ed and all girl teams together. Due to this, we do not have a red uniform that matches. Since we do not have a uniform that matches, we don't have the option to wear our cardinal red at games and events.
