Dear Ball State EXELO friends/fellow classmates,
It is with great sadness that I send you this message. Our beloved mentor/sponsor Dr. Betty Pogue Hadley passed away February 25, 2022. You can read her obituary here: https://www.thestarpress.com/obituaries/msp047691.
As a group, we wanted to do something special to honor her memory. Several of us would like to dedicate a tree with a plaque on campus this Fall. It will cost $1,000.00, which we are raising through this platform. If you are interested in contributing, you can do so here. We already have a commitment from several students.
We would also like to coordinate a special weekend when we could all gather, in Dr. Betty's name, to share in the dedication. It will be like another reunion! We will also invite Joe Hadley, Dr. Betty's surviving spouse, to join us in the planting.
I hope to hear from you and reestablish our prior relationships from college. Our EXELO trip was a very special experience that holds life long memories for many of our group.
